Elements\u2122 and Elements\u2122 Chunkies are designed to mimic the aesthetics, movement and interest of medium and high firing glazes in a cone 06\/05 oxidizing kiln. They give artists a wide variety of possibilities in one product, as glaze application, firing temperature and shape affect the outcome of the finished work. Elements\u2122 are a two-color glaze with a main color and a secondary color called float. When Elements\u2122 are applied to detail pieces, the float color appears in the crevices. The EL-207 Gold Mine is a shiny, olive-colored taupe glaze. It has medium light blue and small tan crystals. <\/p>\n
Cone 6 oxidation:<\/strong> Base glaze changes to a mottled orange\/white\/green and breaks over texture; crystals remain and melt. Enhanced mobility. Surface problems may occur. <\/p>\n TIP<\/strong>: This glaze WILL move. Caution when using on vertical pieces: reduce the thickness of the glaze to the lower third to minimize run-off. This glaze will show pinholes after three coats. Not compatible with overglaze. <\/p>\n
