Black Liquid Underglaze is a deep obsidian black that is dark and smooth at cone 05, transitions to a soft glaze-like surface at cone 6, and retains a deep black hue with a soft sheen up to cone 10. Although the underglaze becomes glaze-like, a bright glossy glaze can give Black an impeccably smooth finish with relatively good color.
