Mudtools
During my clay years, making pots and art, I often had ideas that caused me to work outside the normal process. I found that the tools available were not suitable for working out my ideas.
By necessity I made my own tools, or modified an existing tool so that it became more suitable what I needed to do. These new tools soon became irreplaceable and became the favorite tools! Of course, I showed them when giving a workshop which often resulted in people asking if they were for sale.
It didn’t take me long to figure out that I couldn’t start creating a tool for everyone myself. I needed help with this. That’s how Mudtools was born. It started with a lomer, but soon more shapes emerged. Besides shapes, the hardhead of the lomers was also important. For every type of color I have my own lomer!
My goal is to offer you the tool that is a high quality, fits well in the hand and is also easy to see, so it doesn’t get lost among the clay!
In addition to lomers, an extensive range of pottery tools for potters and kermists has now been developed by Mudtools.
