Glacier Blue produces a translucent, light blue glaze color. You produce beautiful color variations with Glacier Blue without the glaze running off your dinnerware during firing. Designed for a hint of color with one coat, deeper color with two to three coats – but remains translucent.
Cone 10: The color becomes lighter.
TIP: One coat shows more of the properties of the clay body through the glaze and gives a faint color glow to the surface. Subsequent coats deepen the blue color, but after three coats you still get a translucent fired surface. Four or more coats give more opacity and less translucency.
