Cone 6: Clear Flux is a translucent agent that improves fluidity and is intended to be applied in layers over glazes.

TIP: Clear Flux is the most fluid product in the Flux series. Use caution when applying it to vertical surfaces. The product becomes more fluid as more layers are applied. Do not apply the product to the bottom third of your vertical workpieces. It can also be used as a standalone glaze.

Flux is a liquid glaze developed for use in combination with other stoneware glazes to enhance movement, promote reactions, and create interesting effects. Apply 2–3 coats of Flux under or over another mid-range glaze to reveal “hidden colors.” Flux can be applied in layers with a brush, smeared in streaks, dripped with a brush, or dabbed with a sponge. The thicker the layer, the more movement is created.
