Cone 6: Bead is a stoneware glaze that produces a dimensional, bead-like texture in various sizes.
Cone 10: The glaze spreads and becomes softer. Surface texture may develop. No color change.

Beads is part of Mayco’s Ritual line: glazes specially designed to create texture and depth. Beads glazes create a visible relief that you can enhance by applying multiple layers or by combining colors. You can use them on cone 04 bisque and fire them at cone 5 through cone 10.
Beads retains its dimensional quality over underglazes and engobes. If you use it under or over a stoneware glaze, the texture may become slightly flatter, but this often still produces interesting effects.
For best results: apply in thin layers, let each layer dry briefly, and fire the piece as soon as possible after application.
