Oyster is a variegated cream/brown glaze that shows gray/purple undertones and breaks up brown.
Cone 10: Color changes to a variegated creamy-brown. Increased movement.
TIP: If your oven fires lower, the glaze may be brown. If your kiln fires hotter you may get an iridescent finish. Fire the piece again if you do not want the brown finish you get when fired lower. This glaze has a glossy finish. If you like the combination of Green Tea and Capri Blue, try Oyster, as these three glazes belong to the same glaze family.
