This pottery tool features a 3 mm diameter stainless steel blade with a “U” shaped tip and a straight cutting edge 1 mm wide. The beautiful, pencil-like 14 cm handle fits comfortably in the hand and is ideal for making precise 3 mm grooves. Two colorful foam handles add style and comfort while cutting. This tool is perfect for working close to the edge of an object and can be used on both gort dry and leather hard clay. The angle of the cutting blade is adjustable, and it comes with one free spare blade. Additional blades are available separately. Please note that the wood grain of the handle may vary.
This tool is ideal for surface planing leather-hard clay or underglaze, and provides clean cutting edges when working clay. Sgraffito artists especially appreciate this tool for smoothing the background. It is additionally suitable for techniques such as Mishima, sculpting, scraping and more. The stainless steel blade always stays sharp and leaves virtually no burrs or residue. The sharp blade increases efficiency and reduces fatigue while working.
