Smoke is an opaque gray-blue stoneware glaze with soft, subtle variegated hues. The thickness of the glaze strongly influences the fired color; the texture of the surface will also become variegated during firing.
Cone 10: The color changes to a variegated sage green with a glossy finish.
TIP: One coat gives a blue-gray haze over a weathered brown; two coats intensify the gray haze, while three coats intensify the overall gray-blue opaque finish. Brown breaks on raised surfaces on the body.
