White Opal forms a bright to milky white glossy surface. One coat gives the brightest finish; subsequent coats are more likely to produce white precipitation. Prominent white to blue-white colors appear where the glaze gathers around the surface texture.
Cone 10 : The white variation decreases and a transparent luster with white precipitation appears.
TIP: White discoloration is more visible on darker clays (Buff, Manganese Speck). Thinner application creates a glossy transparent finish. Thicker application creates a white swirl.
