Cone 6: Pink Speck is a satin-matte, semi-opaque pale pink glaze that breaks on texture. Contains small purple, orange and yellow speckles. Stable glaze.
Cone 10: Pink Speck becomes lighter. Speck fades and loses its sharpness as the applied layer becomes thicker; crystallization may occur. Remains stable.
TIP: We recommend baking our Pink Speck glaze to cone 6 for a satin-matte finish. When opened, speckles will have collected at the bottom of the bottle. Stir or shake thoroughly to mix them before each use.

Classic stoneware glazes offer depth, refinement and reliability to artists working with medium to high firing temperatures. Many glazes break over textures, revealing secondary colors and hues. Used alone, stoneware glazes produce beautiful color variations. One layer shows the clay body through the glaze and two to three layers deepen the color. The choice of clay body, thickness of the applied glaze, firing process and temperature affect the fired finish.
The chips shown are flat-fired on a white clay body fired to cone 6 oxidation and cone 10 reduction. The choice of clay body, thickness of glaze, firing process and temperature affect the fired result.
