AC-302 Wax Resist Mayco

 4,95 18,80

liquid wax MAYCOCOLORS Available in 59 or 473ml

Description

General Use:

Apply a generous coat of Wax Resist. Even a thin coat will repel color. A second coat of Wax Resist does not adhere to the previous coat, but beads onto the first coat. Once a coat of Wax Resist is applied, it can only be removed by firing. If glaze or color is applied over Wax Resist with an underlying unfired glaze, any “beads” of color remaining on the wax must be removed before firing. These can be removed by gently wiping over the waxed surfaces with a clean, damp sponge. Note that color residue on the wax adheres to the baked surface. A varied and dramatic effect in the baked finish can be achieved with a sea wool sponge. Mayco recommends pre-conditioning the brush or sponge with a brush cleaner to facilitate cleaning. Condition the brush by saturating the bristles. Then remove the excess Brush Cleaner before using the Wax Resist. If Wax Resist dries up in the brush, it can be removed with methylated spirits. Wax Resist is removed by baking in the oven.
