This pottery tool has a half-dome 5 mm wide blade and a beautifully handcrafted 139 mm hardwood handle. The colorful foam grip adds both style and comfort, making it ideal for making fine, clean details. It can cut in both gort dry and leather-hard clay and has an adjustable blade angle for precision pottery work. The tool comes with one free spare blade, and additional blades are available separately. You also receive three handles: two are mounted on the tool and one is extra. Please note that the wood grain may vary.
This tool is perfect for cutting out leather-hard clay and underglaze, and allows you to make clay flakes from the edge transitioning to round carvings. You can cut Sgraffito with confidence, and it is also suitable for techniques such as Mishima, sculpting and scraping. The stainless steel blade always stays sharp and leaves little to no burrs or debris. This allows you to cut faster and leave cleaner lines and edges. The sharp blade increases efficiency and reduces fatigue while working.
