The MBG142 Brick Red is a deep, solid red. Great on its own as a base or accent color, the Brick Red is a Texas Two-Step base coat, and will create oil stain effects when covered with any of the overglazes in this series.

The Texas Two-Step Oilspots is a special series that uses pairs of glazes to create unique effects. Wherever one of the five overlays is placed on Licorice, Coffee Bean, Fren, Mulberry, Persimmon or Brick Red, a beautiful mottled pattern is created during firing.
Tip:
Thicker applications lead to larger spots. Try using wax resistance after the first coat to create negative space designs.
