Eggplant is an opaque, glossy purple glaze. Three coats create a solid purple finish. Thinner applications can lead to the development of blue-gray colors. Blue-gray colors can also develop where the glaze breaks over and around surface structures.
Cone 10: The color changes to blue.
TIP: A light blue can form on top of Eggplant where it blends; surface textures also encourage the glaze to break up blue. It is beautiful in combination with other glazes.
