Pink Opal produces a desert pink that ranges from semi-translucent to fully opaque, depending on the thickness of the application. Thinner applications produce a clear glaze with hints of pink precipitation; heavier applications create an opaque purplish-pink glossy finish that can also form a whitish deposit in certain areas.
Cone 10: The pink fades completely, leaving a transparent sheen with white deposits.
TIP: Vertical pieces allow the glaze to flow best and create a semi-transparent, pink veil. Body structures and features remain visible through the glaze. Thinner application creates a glossy transparent finish. Thicker application creates a pale pink swirl. Surface decoration will be visible under the glaze, but if you apply the glaze thickly, it may blur your image.
