Blue Opal is a medium blue semi-transparent to fully opaque gloss glaze. Thinner applications create a transparent blue haze; thicker coatings produce an opaque finish. Surface textures can cause the glaze to collect and produce grayish blue streaks.
Cone 10: Becomes more transparent. May produce red spots in heavy reduction.
TIP: Light applications to brown and buff bodies give a transparent teal glossy finish. Thinner applications give a glossy transparent finish. A thicker application gives a light blue floating finish. Surface decoration will be visible under the glaze, but if you apply the glaze thickly, it may obscure your image.
