KI-27 Glacial Lake is a vibrant, blue-green hue.
Kiln Ice glazes are modeled after traditional Guan or Snowflake glazes. They exhibit a delicate network of fine hairline cracks (known as “crazing”). Kiln Ice glazes are translucent, but become slightly opaque where the cracks form, creating a beautiful, layered visual texture. Differences in glaze application and firing technique can affect the final result.
These glazes are food safe, but because of their durability, they are not recommended for food surfaces. Because of variations in the raw materials used during production, we recommend glazed test tiles be fired before each new batch number glaze is used.
