Cone 6: Pink Pearl is a glossy, transparent white glaze that breaks on texture. Contains pink crystals. The base color is stable, the crystals can create movement.
Cone 10: Pink Pearl changes to a shiny blue. A thick layer of crystals can affect color and movement.
TIP: Pink Pearl uses SW223 Milk Glass as its base. When opened, the crystals will concentrate at the bottom of the bottle. Stir/shake thoroughly to mix them before each use. Crystals can create movement. Avoid a high concentration of crystals at the bottom of your piece. When storing a crystal glass hour, consider storing the bottle upside down to allow better access to the crystals.

Classic stoneware glazes offer depth, refinement and reliability to artists working with medium to high firing temperatures. Many glazes break over textures, revealing secondary colors and hues. Used alone, stoneware glazes produce beautiful color variations. One layer shows the clay body through the glaze and two to three layers deepen the color. The choice of clay body, thickness of the applied glaze, firing process and temperature affect the fired finish.
The chips shown are flat-fired on a white clay body fired to cone 6 oxidation and cone 10 reduction. The choice of clay body, thickness of glaze, firing process and temperature affect the fired result.
