CR-41 is a glossy lime green glaze that, when fired, creeps into raised shapes of varying size and shape. The result is a surface with unpredictable, natural patterns that add unique texture and visual interest to each piece.
Apply 1-4 even layers of glaze to cone 04 bisque. Allow each coat to dry almost completely, but before significant cracks develop. Creep glazes develop hairline cracks during drying; be careful. For extra durability before firing, layer on an AMACO Celadon glaze or underglaze.
More layers create larger glaze points, while thinner layers give a finer pearl effect. More layers gives more cracks. Fire up to cone 5-6 for best results.
These glazes are food safe when applied over AMACO Celadons.
Because of variations in the raw materials used during production, we recommend glazed test tiles be fired before each new batch number glaze is used.

We introduce Crawls, a new line of cone 5/6 glazes that bring ceramic surfaces to life with unique, spontaneous patterns, every time! Traditionally seen as a flaw – these glazes are made to embrace crawling glaze. Creeping glaze occurs when the glaze pulls back from the surface during firing, creating a textured, uneven finish that reveals the underlying clay body or other glaze layers. These glazes can be used on their own or layered over underglazes or other cone 5/6 glazes for dynamic effects.
