Cinnabar is a rich maroon-red glossy glaze that tends to develop a hazy purple tinge with heavier use.
Cone 10: The color becomes darker.
TIP: One to two coats give an opaque maroon-red; more than three coats give a higher degree of purple float. With Cinnabar, you get beautiful color variations without the glaze running off your workpiece during an oxidation firing in cone 6.
