Gum Solution

Add Amaco gum solution to glazes to improve brushability. In addition, the gum also allows the glaze to dry more slowly, giving you more even and consistent application. Thicker glazes can be brought back to their original state by first diluting them with water and then adding a teaspoon of gum, or as much as needed to get the beautiful brushability back. Amaco Gum Solution prevents glaze from drying too quickly and crackling during drying. After you use the underglaze pencils or crayons, you can carefully spray or brush a diluted layer of gum solution over it to shield the underglaze. Let it dry. Then you can brush a transparent glaze over it without damaging or erasing the underlying decoration or text. The gum solution comes in a 473ml jar.
