This beautifully oiled and hand-carved wooden rib is an essential tool for potters working with the potter’s wheel. With a size of approximately 150 mm wide, 95 mm long and 13 mm deep, the rib sits comfortably in the hand and provides optimal control during ceramic shaping.
The rib features a laser engraved DiamondCore Tools logo on the front and a fine diamond grid design on the back, which not only provides a stylish look but also improves grip when the wood is wet. A thin, smooth wax coating protects wood from moisture, prevents swelling and extends tool life.
Thanks to the smooth surfaces, the rib glides effortlessly over wet clay, making it perfect for the opening clay after centering, shaping and stabilizing workpieces and removing excess clay. The tapered side serves as a convenient scraping edge for cleaning surfaces and applying subtle details.
